With summer coming up finding swimwear that fits and flatters can sometimes be an arduous task and with while there is no official data on the cup sizes of Australian women, the average Australian woman is a size 14-16. 

Lilly & Lime swimwear – is a brand with a difference, it is specialised swimwear label created especially for those ladies with a D Cup and up and has garnered a legion of celebrity fans including model of the moment Bree Warren and Ali Fedotowsky.

Designed by two Australian ladies who struggled to find swimwear in their sizes, Lilly and Lime combine fashion and function to ensure all women are stylishly supported this Summer.

Two friends, Emma-Jane Hughes and Ashleigh Hill are the brains behind the label.

Both grew up in Africa, Ash on the shores of Lake Malawi and Emma on the beautiful white beaches in South Africa, which means they grow up loving the sun and the beach.

After a few years in London building their careers we wanted the sun on their skin and the sand between their toes, and the sunny shores of Australia were too hard to ignore! Emma and her family decided to go on an adventure for a few years and she is currently based in Bermuda and Ash in Brisbane, Australia. So here they are again, back on the beach, and facing the same dilemmas when it comes to swimwear.
Being big busted girls (30G & 30DD) they dread the beginning of summer as, like all of us, they LOVE shopping for new bikinis but can never find anything that’s both fashionable and a great fit in their sizes.  Smaller busted friends seem to have a much broader selection of swimwear, all in gorgeous prints and styles.
One night after a few champagnes, Lilly & Lime was born.

‘We think it is great that the fashion industry is starting to make a bigger range of clothes for all women and also starting to use a wider range of models to advertise these. We have always wanted to empower women and young girls rather than body shame them and be inclusive for all bigger busted women. We want our customers to feel confident and comfortable in their swimwear so it enables them to do whatever they want. There is nothing worse than feeling self-conscious while at your child’s swimming lesson or going for a swim in the sea because you are worried you might pop out of your top.’
